Loadscan crew are hobbits for the day!

The Loadscan team made a visit to Hobbiton for their Christmas do this year to tour the 12-acre Lord of the Rings and Hobbiton movie set.

Located in Matamata (less than an hour from Loadscan headquarters) the team learnt how the famous set locations and movies were made followed by a sumptuous buffet lunch.

They embarked on a guided tour through the Shire visiting key filming locations before concluding with a drink in the famous Green Dragon Inn. They were then treated to a buffet feast fit for a Hobbit inside the grand Party Marquee.

As they toured the Hobbit Holes, The Mill, the double arched bridge and other structures and gardens built for the films, the guide recount the fascinating details of how the movie set was created.

The last stop on the tour was The Green Dragon Inn where the team was able to relax in front of the open fires enjoying a beverage from the exclusive Hobbit Southfarthing range. Then, they moved into the impressive Party Marquee to indulge in a buffet lunch bursting with Hobbit fare. As is the tradition in the Shire, second helpings was definitely encouraged!
